I might as well admit, I'm not looking forward to next year's crossover, Crisis on Infinite Earths. Why? Because I like the multiverse.

I like the fact that out there on another earth Leo and Ray are happily living their lives together. In general I like that while Snart may be dead on Earth-1 there are many other earths out there where he is still alive. Because maybe somewhere out there, there is a Snart who is exactly like Earth-1 Snart with the exact same life, travelling with the Legends and the only difference is he didn't die.

And all that will be gone if there is no more multiverse.

I make it no secret that Snart and Leo are my favourite characters. Either Leo (and Ray) get moved over to the new Earth-1 therefore insuring that Earth-1 Snart never returns from the dead, or the new Earth-1 reverses Snart's death allowing him to be alive again making Leo gone forever. I lose either way and I'm not sure which would hurt more. I prefer Snart, but Leo's so damn happy. Even if Snart and Ray ended up hooking up, it's still not Leo.

I'm not even convinced that Snart, Leo and Ray will even get a mention next year. There's going to be so many actors/characters involved. I can see Snart or Leo being in it since both Legends and the Flash still make references to Snart and it's largely Wentworth Miller's choice for why he's currently not in the show. But I'm not sure they'd bother trying to get Russell Tovey back to be the Ray. It seems like CW has largely forgotten about the cartoon series they were doing so Ray just might be entirely left out.

Who knows, maybe I'm wrong and there will be a twist and the multiverse won't merge. I doubt it though since as soon as it was established that Supergirl was on another earth you knew a merge was going to happen at some point in order to get all the main characters on one earth.

I just wish I could be as excited as everyone else.

Earth-1 Alex's hair... it looks so bad on her! lol

"It's just one word, Superman." Barry is killing it with his lines in the crossover. I love dorky fun Barry. One of my biggest problems in the past couple of seasons was that Barry wasn't as fun anymore.

Gary! "You guys are my heroes, well not heroes, legends."

And that was my bad attempt at writing my thoughts down while watching the show and not waiting until afterwards like normal. After Cisco got introduced I stopped trying and instead just watched the show.

I liked evil Cisco, and evil James, but I was disappointed that James didn't get to do very much. It was an episode of Supergirl after-all and he got treated badly last year in Crisis on Earth-X as well. I know Cisco was important to the story but I wanted a little bit more time with James.

No Lena at all was a disappointment.

I liked how Kara got through to Earth-1 Alex. It doesn't matter what earth, Alex is still a good person who cares about people. But at the same time I missed our Alex. I wished she had arrived with Brainy, Lois, and J'onn.

Once again I find myself really liking Lois and Clark, which is weird because I've never been a huge fan of them in the past. I've never minded them, but they never made me think 'yeah, I ship that!'. But they are super cute here. Unfortunately Superman is my current prediction for dying during the next crossover in place of Kara who died in the comics.

One thing that did disappoint me however this was the first time the Earth-1 heroes met Brainy, the first time most of them had met Lois and the first time most of them had met J'onn (I can't remember if the J'onn reveal happened before or after Barry went to Earth-38 in Season 1). And it was just glossed over. I wanted a more "hi, who are you?" type thing.

Not seeing Kate again except for a cameo at the end was also a disappointment. I would have been fine with it if they hadn't spent so much time in the summer building up to Batwoman being this epic thing. What we had was great, but I want more.

I also have a rant coming ahead on Crisis on Infinite Earths which I'm saving for another post.

Overall though, I liked Elseworld. It was a fun crossover. It wasn't as good as Crisis on Earth-X but that would have been hard to top.

One thing that Crisis did really well was it was basically a movie while Elseworld was split in individual parts, which made me miss certain characters. For example Part 3 takes place in Central City, there was no reason why Iris couldn't have been included, but I don't remember her even getting a mention. I want to see all the characters interact, not just Oliver, Barry and Kara. Hopefully the movie format returns for Crisis on Infinite Earths.

But there was still a lot of stuff to like about Elseworlds. Barry being Oliver, Oliver being Barry, Batwoman, Barry in general, Clark and Lois, Kara, the Earth-1 version of Alex and James even if they were in a wrong reality, evil Cisco who is better at being evil here than Earth-2 Cisco, Gary, etc. No Beebo though, such a shame.

I like Batman fanboy Barry. <3

Batwoman was cool, but that's it? No. When the crossover was announced it made it seem like she was going to be in a big role. CW better follow through if her own show then.

I felt bad for Felicity, they really should have told her about the body swap. She was the only one who didn't know and then she felt like crap because Iris "knew something was wrong with Barry". No she didn't. Iris had zero clue until Barry talked to her while they were trying to get to Earth-38. Until then she was openly talking about how hot she thought "Barry"/Oliver was in front of Barry.

Kara had some really cute interactions with Kate. In particular I liked that Kara pointed out the "coincidence" that Batman and Bruce left Gotham at the same time. I'm not sure if that's just Kara being smart or if she knows Batman's identity on her own Earth. Speaking of Kara being smart though, they really should have let her handle things when they were getting mugged.

And I do wonder what happened to Bruce. Three years ago would be around the events of Season 2 of the Flash. I don't remember anything major happening, Flashpoint didn't happen until the end of the season.

It was nice seeing Malcolm again even if he was just a hallucination.

Only one more part to go. I do know a certain someone is in it which I'm curious to see and I know this is supposed to be building towards Crisis on Infinite Earths but I'm not sure how they're going to be able to resolve everything in only a little over 40 minutes. And what happened to Kara when the book was used again? Is she still on Earth-1 or is she back on Earth-38?

This episode reminded me why Arrow is my least favourite of the Beeboverse shows. Oliver is just way to serious for my liking, although I did like how towards the end of the episode he tried to be more like Barry with the smiling and thumbs up. I wouldn't mind Oliver becoming more fun if it also didn't involve Barry becoming darker (I'm totally with Iris and her concerns).

All-in-all though I liked the swapped body thing, even if I disagree that they need to start acting like each other to fully use the other's skills. I snickered when Barry was on board for having fun with the body swap until Oliver mentioned that he had woken up in Barry's bed with Iris in the apartment. I just really love small moments like that which remind us how much Barry loves Iris.

I'll admit that WestAllen was my NOTP for a long time, but they've won me over. The stuff about Iris being Barry's lightning rod always makes me melt, I like pairings that are stupidly in love with each other. I also liked their conversation at the end where Iris reminded Barry to remain true to himself. She gets it. That's more important than becoming the Green Arrow.

Strangely enough, I liked the stuff at Kent farm even though I'm not a big Superman fan. His previous appearances on Supergirl never left an impact on me, but I liked him here and I really liked Lois. I know from BTS pictures during filming that they're both back at some point in the crossover so hopefully it's not a too long of wait. And hopefully they'll both be making appearances in Supergirl after this.

And we finally got the answer for the ever long question of how do prisoner's go to the bathroom who are locked in the Star Labs cells. A good kick to the wall is all it takes, although I'm sure Barry could have gotten it out a little gentler.

One question though, where was Nora for the entire episode? I know she left the 100th episode by going back into the future but surely she wasn't gone that long since when she and Barry travelled to the past it was like no time had passed in the present.

I'm looking forward to seeing Batwoman's introduction in the next episode. Can't wait!
